We have a designated Medical Officer, Mrs Boardman, who manages the First Aid room and all administration of medication. Mrs Boardman is the first line of contact for all medical needs and first aid requirements. If your child requires medication for a serious medical condition e.g. an Epipen, Asthma Inhaler, Diabetic Medication or any other type of medication then please ensure that it comes in to school clearly labelled with your child’s name and any supporting paperwork that we may need.
Should your child feel unwell during the school day then you will be contacted to discuss how best to treat them. If they need to go home then they must be collected by a responsible adult; they will not be allowed to travel home alone.
If your child requires medication on an ad hoc basis then please complete the Administration of Medication Form, which can be found on our website. This must be completed and handed to the Medical Officer along with the named medication in the original packaging.
If your child has a current Health Care Plan then please let us know either through the Admissions Pack or by email. You will be contacted to discuss the details further to ensure we are caring for your child in the best way possible. If you wish to discuss anything medical related then please do not hesitate to contact the Medical Officer.
