Teaching Assistants
We have opportunities for Teaching Assistants to join our Learning Support Team at Wyvern St Edmund's Academy.
We are particularly looking for candidates who are organised, proactive and passionate about working in a school environment to support our students and enable their access to learning.
This position is:
- Permanent;
- Up to 30 hours per week, over 5 days. Part time positions over fewer days also available so applications for less hours welcomed;
- Term time only (39 weeks per year);
- Required for: 30th September 2024, or when available (an earlier start date can be accommodated);
- Salary: MLP Grade D. Salary would be pro-rata'ed dependent on the number of hours/days worked.

Music Technician
We require an energetic and proactive Music Technician to join our Music department at Wyvern St
Edmund’s Academy. We are particularly looking for someone who will encourage and promote a positive ethos and help raise the expectations of all students, thus helping them to achieve their full potential in Music.
The successful candidate’s duties will be to assist our busy team of Music teachers which will include
preparing for lessons, supporting students during lessons (at both KS3 and KS4) and maintaining all
technical equipment. The successful candidate will also be required to support school concerts and
productions so there will be a requirement to work flexibly at these times.
The successful candidate will have an interest and awareness of the practical and theoretical aspects of music and, ideally, have a background in music technology and a working knowledge of Sibelius and
Garage Band.
This position is:
- Permanent;
- 20 hours per week;
- Term Time only;
- Start date: 30th September 2024, or when available (a sooner start date can be accommodated);
- Salary MLP Grade E, FTE £24,094. Pro-rata salary of £11,202;

Duty Cleaner
We require a Duty Cleaner to work with us at the Wyvern St Edmund’s Academy. We require someone with a positive, "can do" attitude to work and who shares our pride and commitment in delivering an excellent learning environment for our students.
Wyvern St Edmund’s is proud of its reputation as a happy and caring school. We require enthusiastic individuals to help maintain the high cleanliness standards of all of the buildings and facilities across our site.
This position is:
·Permanent;
·25 hours per week. Working hours to be 5 hours a day, 8:30am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday;
·Term time only with an additional 2 weeks for holiday deep cleans (41 weeks per year);
·To start as soon as available;
·Salary: MLP Grade B, FTE salary £22,367. Pro-rata salary £12,999, equates to £11.59 per hour.

Direct Supply Teachers
Wyvern St Edmund's (WSE) have opportunities for qualified Teachers to join our bank of Supply.
Successful candidates would be employed directly by WSE, but on a Casual basis. All hours worked would be agreed with you in advance. This could be for a pre-planned requirement discussed well in advance, or occasionally for short notice cover – dependent on your availability, of course.
This provides the opportunity to be part of school life, supporting our students and part of the WSE family, but to choose when you work.
