Anti-Misogyny

Wyvern St Edmund's has been proud to work with Shut It Down, a company specialising in anti-misogyny education and training, throughout the 2025–2026 academic year. Students took part in engaging, thoughtful sessions exploring topics such as gender-based harm, allyship, respectful communication, and how young people can actively contribute to safer environments. Their participation showed maturity, empathy, and a real willingness to learn.

A highlight of the year was the "Open Invite" session, where over 150 young men voluntarily joined staff to discuss how they can help make women feel safer, both in school and in the wider community. The turnout was exceptional, and the conversations were open, reflective, and solution-focused — demonstrating the strength of our school community and the commitment of our students.

As we move into the next phase of our partnership, we look forward to building on this foundation, deepening the learning, and continuing our work with Shut It Down to support a culture of respect, safety, and positive change.

Wyvern St Edmund's is also delighted to have been awarded School of the Year for its partnership work with Shut It Down during 2025–2026 and look forward to our continued work in 2026-2027.
