Knowledge Booklets

Knowledge booklets are a collection of knowledge organisers for each of the subjects that our students study. Each knowledge organiser contains the core knowledge that students must know in order to access the curriculum; we expect students to know all of the knowledge in their booklet. We have saved these as word documents based on feedback from parents and carers who said that this would help them to create flashcards because it's easier to copy and paste.

Every week, students are set lines from their subjects to self-quiz and memorise. Parents and carers can support their child with self-quizzing by creating time and space to do this work free from distractions (i.e. phone away and out of sight). Parents and carers can also help by using their child's knowledge booklet and testing them on the lines that they've been asked to learn that week. If your child has self-quizzed effectively, they should be able to repeat back the definitions to you.
