School Assembly Impact

Our assembly programme is an important part of school life, helping to inspire, educate and support students in becoming the very best version of themselves.

Through a range of engaging topics, assemblies encourage students to reflect on our school values, their ambitions and responsibilities, while developing the knowledge and skills they need to thrive both in and beyond school. Themes may include wellbeing, resilience, leadership, respect, personal development and current issues that matter to our young people.

This page highlights a selection of assemblies and student reflections that showcase the positive impact of these experiences. The examples below provide a snapshot of how assemblies help to shape our school community and support students on their journey of growth and success.

October 2026 - Mental Health Awareness

Ms Clark and a group of student leaders delivered assemblies with an important message: looking after our own mental health and supporting others to do the same. The assembly reminded students that our mental health is important, and is something we must all care for.

Anyone can struggle, the important thing is that we don't struggle alone. The student leaders made sure that our school community knows that we are all here to support each other, and all staff care for the mental wellbeing of our students. As a community we care for each other, so Ms Clark reminded us to check in with our friends, to ask how they are, to support them to seek help when they need to.

Reflections from some Year 7 students show that this message was valuable to them and will help them to care for their own mental health and look after their friends.
